She is the founder of Rangsutra, which aims to revive the craftsmanship and talent that is unharnessed in rural India and aims to provide them with their deserving recognition. She won the Nari Shakti Puraskar award from the President of India. Hundreds of artisan’s co-own Rangsutra and through the company they sell their goods bridging the gap to global customers such as Ikea. She has also been awarded grants and fellowships. She has been in the MacArthur Fellows Program Fulbright Program, and the Aspen Institute.
