Shammi Kapoor, Indian Actor
Born as Shamsher Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor hailed from the Kapoor family; often referred to as the first family of the Hindi film industry. Shammi Kapoor was widely celebrated for his vibrant style and charismatic onscreen appearance. He bagged Filmfare Awards as the Best Actor for the 1967 film Brahmachari and won Filmfare for Best Supporting Actor in 1981 for the movie Vidhata. In 1995, he was honored with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. Having done over 200 films, Shammi Kapoor was known for his unique dancing style. His dancing style and self-choreographed performances earned him the name of Elvis Presley of India.
