
Poorva Kiran Shetye
Born: 12 March 1993
- She is an Indian International Swimmer, who is specialized in 50 m, 100 m, and 200 m breaststroke.
- She still holds the National Record at the National Games for 50 m Breast Stroke.
- She was awarded Maharashtra government’s most prestigious “Shiv Chhatrapati Award” in 2008 by the then Chief Minister, Prithviraj Chavan.
- She won one gold and silver medal in her first International participation in South Asian Swimming Championship – 2006, Islamabad.
- Thereafter she participated in many national tournaments and won 30 Gold, 22 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals.
- She has also participated in 29th World University Championships, Gwangju, South Korea, 15th FINA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Barcelona Spain, |XIX Commonwealth Game, Delhi,2010.
- She is a student of Jain University located in Bangalore.
- She is currently pursuing her Masters of Analytics from RMIT, Melbourne, Australia.
