
Mahendra Nath Mulla

- He, MVC was an officer of the Indian Navy.
- As the Commanding Officer of INS Khukri, he chose to go down with his ship when his ship was sunk during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
- He was commissioned in the Royal Indian Navy on 1 May 1948.
- He was promoted to Lieutenant Commander on 16 September 1958 and to the rank of Commander on 30 June 1964.
- He served on the Hunt-class destroyer INS Gomati (D93) and the Bathurst-class Minesweeper HMIS Madras(J237).
- He also served as the executive officer of the Black Swan-class sloop HMIS Kistna (U46) and commanded the R-class destroyer INS Rana (D115).
- He served as the Deputy Naval Adviser to the High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom from 1965 to 1967.
