Happy Onam

Onam: An annual harvest festival, Onam is celebrated in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It is a major annual event for the people of Kerala and is even regarded as the official festival of the state. The festival commemorates King Mahabali. The festival falls in the month of Chingam, which is the first month according to the Malayalam Calendar. The celebrations that mark the Malayalam New Year, are spread over ten days, and conclude with Thiruvonam.
