Captain Vikram Batra

Captain Vikram Batra was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest and most prestigious award for valour, for his bravery during the 1999 Kargil War. He had led one of the most difficult mountain warfare operations in Indian military history. Referred to as Sher Shah, “Yeh Dil Mange More” was his victory slogan during Kargil. Recently a Bollywood film Shershaah, starring Sidharth Malhotra was made depicting the life and heroism of Captain Batra.
