Avani Lekhara

Hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Avani is an Indian Paralympian and rifle shooter. She has secured gold medal in 10m air rifle standing at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. With this win, she has even become the first Indian woman to bag a Paralympic Gold Medal. Scoring 249.6 points in the final event, she has set a Paralympic record and tied the world record. She is currently World No 5 in Women’s 10m Air Rifle standing SH1 (World Shooting Para Sport Rankings).
