Anil Kumble

Born:17 October 1970

He is a former Indian cricketer and a former captain of Tests and ODIs, who played Tests and ODIs for 18 years.
He is the most successful Indian bowler of all time and third highest wicket taker of all time in Tests as well.
He was nicknamed “Jumbo”.
He was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour in 2005.
He was also a former head coach of the Indian cricket team as well.
He became the fourth Indian cricketer to be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame.
He has been appointed to the athlete’s commission of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), with his term starting on 1 January 2009.
He was awarded the Arjuna award, a sports award from the Government of India, in 1995.
